About us
Our mission
HELP4UA z.s. is a Czech volunteer association providing concrete material and humanitarian aid to Ukraine. Our members have been helping since the first days of the Russian invasion in 2022; in April 2026 we formalised our work by founding the association. We organise collections, buy and distribute material aid — power supplies, medical supplies, hygiene products and medicines — and arrange its transport directly to Ukraine. We travel to Ukraine in person and work only with verified partners and units, so we know where every piece of equipment goes. We also support Ukrainians who have found refuge from the war in the Czech Republic.
Our values
Our work rests on four principles:
- Direct delivery — we hand aid directly to verified recipients: hospitals, social care facilities, military units and specific communities in Ukraine.
- Transparency — we report openly on how aid is used; letters of thanks and awards from Ukrainian institutions are published on the Awards page.
- Volunteering — all members work without pay; funds go to aid, not to running costs.
- Humanity — we help everyone affected by the war, without distinction.
Our story
We have been helping since the first days of the Russian invasion in 2022. We work with the centre for Ukrainians in Český Krumlov and since 2023 we have supported the “Sewing Company” project — sewing adaptive clothing for the wounded and sick (more on the Sewing project page). Our work so far has earned us a number of letters of thanks from Ukrainian institutions. In April 2026 we formalised our activities by founding the registered association HELP4UA z.s.
